Our Senior School students had their first K-Pop dance session last week. It was an excellent opportunity to see so many talented girls getting together and showing their amazing dancing skills.

K-Pop music is popular in many countries. There are groups such as BTS and BLACKPINK which are all well-known worldwide.

In the St Catherine’s community, there is also a large number of students who have been practising K-Pop dances since they were very young and now have the chance to show their hard work to the School community.

The dance sessions was also a fantastic chance to connect girls from Year 7 to Year 12 and to get to know more about people from other Year levels.

During the session, everyone encouraged each other to be brave to go up and dance at the centre of the stage with cheering and warm compliments. Most of us hesitated at the start to dance on the stage, including me. Going to the centre is always scary, and dancing in front of friends and teachers is sometimes terrifying, but in the end, all of us conquered the fear and really enjoyed the experience.

After receiving lots of positive feedback from our lovely girls with many of them “looking forward to the next K-pop dance session,” I will definitely create more chances for anyone who wants to show their talent in the future!
