On Monday 17 February 2025, the St Catherine’s School community came together in the Hall to honour the graduating Class of 2024 at the 2024 Leavers’ Assembly. It was a joyous occasion, filled with reflection, gratitude, and celebration of the students’ achievements as they embarked on the next stage of their journeys.

Principal Ms Natalie Charles, along with Mr Rob Marshall, Ms Anita Dammery, and Ms Alison Cassidy, presented the prestigious VCE Subject Awards, recognising students who achieved the highest Study Scores in their respective Unit 3 and 4 subjects. This was followed by the presentation of AMEB certificates, including special recognition for Junya Jiang and Elaine Li for their AmusA achievements. See below for a full list of award recipients.

One of the most engaging moments of the morning was the Leavers’ Panel, hosted by the 2025 Student Executive. Panellists from the Class of 2024—Millie Nilsen, Georgia Hennessy, Anna Nguyen Diep, and Jenny Liu—shared their experiences from their final year, offering insights into their favourite subjects, the myths surrounding VCE, and the activities that helped them maintain balance during their studies. Their reflections on memorable celebrations and the best advice they received provided inspiration to current students.

As the younger students sat in the hall, watching the recent graduates speak with confidence and wisdom, many must have thought to themselves, “That will be me very soon.” The assembly served as a powerful reminder of the role models within the St Catherine’s community—students who have navigated their final years with grace and determination. Their stories of perseverance and success undoubtedly sparked aspirations among the younger girls, encouraging them to strive for their own goals with the same dedication.
