Barbreck News – Wellbeing Festival

The Barbreck Wellbeing Festival, held on Wednesday 21 June, was a resounding success that left a lasting impression on our students. With the theme Wellbeing Without a Screen the Day promoted the large array of fun, exciting and relaxing activities readily available at home that do not involve a screen.

Throughout the Wellbeing Festival, the girls enthusiastically participated in a wide range of activities, showcasing their skills, and promoting their overall wellbeing.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed the whole School dance routines that kicked off the morning’s activities. Student creativity was on full display during the coloured salt craft sessions, where the girls created vibrant and intricate designs. Juggling, skipping, and orienteering challenged their coordination and problem-solving abilities, fostering a sense of accomplishment.

Students also embraced mental engagement through board games, puzzles, and calming yoga sessions, promoting mindfulness and relaxation. The Festival fostered a strong sense of community, with parents joining in the morning and everyone enjoying a delicious breakfast and sausage sizzle lunch.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Barbreck staff whose tireless efforts made this event possible. Their dedication and commitment created a memorable experience for our students.

Congratulations to all the students for their active participation and remarkable achievements during the Festival.

As we enter the term break, we encourage all our students and their families to use this time to rest, recharge, and cherish special moments with their loved ones. We look forward to welcoming the girls back to Barbreck on Tuesday 18 July.
