Eisteddfod By the Bay: Speech and Drama Competition

On Saturday 28 May, several of our talented students competed in the Speech and Drama sections of the Eisteddfod by the Bay, at Kingston City Hall. There were a variety of individuals and small groups representing St Catherine’s, having spent much of the semester rehearsing poetry, script excerpts and self-devised scenes.

The students have weekly lessons with our Speech and Drama specialist, Ms Lucy Mason, who expertly develops their expressive skills, script understanding, and the work ethic required for polished performances by our young actors.
