What an incredible term of Sport after what has been a long break for school sport at St Catherine’s. We are back with a bang! With one of the most successful sporting terms in our history.

Alongside our incredible Rowing results, we also had seven teams qualify for GSV Finals in both Tennis and Softball. An incredible effort from all our students and our terrific team of coaches and sports staff. A special mention to our Softball superstar Mr Tony Black, who coached all Softball teams into the finals.

An incredible effort from our Junior A softball Team who won our first Softball title in what must be a long time or maybe ever! It was seven all at the end of the second innings, and a very close game against a formidable Ruyton, the girls persevered and after a spectacular catch from Giselle Upton and a Grand Slam from Violetta Capanni the girls were off to the races, finishing with an 18 to seven win! Congratulations girls.

We also had some incredible success in the pool this term. Our GSV Diving Team took out the Division 3 Championship Carnival. A special mention to the 11 girls who qualified for the GSV Swimming Finals Night. Our Year 7 superstars, Louisa Liao won the Year 7 50m Butterfly and Chloe Zhu won the Year 7 50m Breaststroke. Whilst Year 11 student Emma Gregory had a fantastic swim finishing third in the 50m Backstroke.
