ELC Update – A Time for Celebration and Reflection

A time for Celebration and Reflection

It is hard to believe that the year has now drawn to a close. As we reflect, we can celebrate a year which has been highlighted by immense learning, discovery, friendship and community. The children, educators and families will certainly look back on the year with pride and great memories of the learning, growth and development that has taken place, and the wonderful experiences that have been shared as part of our learning community.

We extend our sincere thanks to all Campbell House families for your patience and support as we have navigated the challenges of the year together, and supported the children with continued learning in both the home, and classroom contexts.

The children have been presented with their individual learning journals in the final days. This is a wonderful reflection and celebration of your child’s learning and growth in the ELC this year. We encourage you to take time to share the journal as a family and use it as a way for your child to reflect on their year. We know that the journal holds many happy memories, and will be appreciated for years to come.

As the children transition into the next chapter of their educational journey, we know that they will move forward with confidence and independence to take on the learning opportunities that lie ahead. This is an exciting time in the children’s lives.

In particular, we farewell the current 4 year old ELC students as they take this next exciting step into Prep. We wish all children and families well for the year ahead.

Our current 3-year-old ELC students are excitedly preparing for their big move “upstairs” as they progress into the 4-year-old Early Learning Program. The children have an exciting year of growth and learning to look forward to in their new classrooms.

Thank you to Campbell House Staff

To the educators in Campbell House, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for the care and commitment shown to the children and families throughout the year. Your attention to detail is demonstrated through the exemplary classroom programs and learning environments provided to our young learners. Your expertise supports and guides the children with their learning and development. Your professionalism and compassion is evident through the pastoral care provided to children and families. For all of this and more, we thank you for all that you do in Campbell House.

Season’s Greetings

Together with the Campbell House staff, I would like to wish all ELC families a wonderful festive season filled with peace and happiness.

May the new year bring time for families to share celebrations and new beginnings, and most importantly, time to spend with family and friends.

We look forward to commencing the 2022 school year in Campbell House on Monday 31 January for all of our new and returning children and families.

Ms Sarah Bethune, Head of ELC
