Student VOICES – Barbreck Co-Captains’ Father’s Day Address

Sharing the voices of our student leaders, this week we hear from our Junior School Co-Captains Claudia Driver and Chloe Nash during their introduction of Ms Flip (Lucile) Shelton (’83), St Catherine’s Old Girl and special guest at our Junior School Chef’s Hat Father’s Day Breakfast, held on Friday 3 September.

Introduction to Flip (Lucile) Shelton (’83)

Chloe Nash: Flip Shelton is a St Catherine’s Old Girl, graduating in 1983 and a Nil Magnum Nisi Bonum recipient. She is a writer, presenter, muesli maker, yoga teacher, garlic grower and mum.

Flip has published six children’s books since 2007, a sell-out cookbook GREEN–Modern Vegetarian Meals, a second cookbook Veg In, which was awarded the 2011 best Australian vegetarian cookbook by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Her third cookbook, co-authored with Michael Carr-Gregg, Smart Snacks, was released in February 2019 and currently she is working on her next book.

Claudia Driver: Since beginning her career as a publicist, Flip has become a public figure, having written and presented segments about food, fitness and travel for radio, television and print media.

In 2003, Flip launched, Flip Shelton’s Natural Muesli, an impressive range of premium muesli, gluten free muesli and five-grain porridge.

Aside from work, Flip balances her passion for health and fitness by spending time with her husband and son. She has completed four Ironman events and the Melbourne Marathon.
