GSV Cross Country Finals

Following a solid performance at the Preliminary Rounds on Tuesday 20 May, where St Catherine’s placed 6th overall, our strong team of 40 athletes advanced to the GSV Division 2 Cross Country Finals, held on Friday 30th May at Cruden Farm.

It was a special day for our school, as we were also joined by our enthusiastic Year 5 and 6 cross country team, who competed in their own events and supported our senior athletes. This meant over 80 students proudly represented the pale blue – a fantastic show of school spirit.

On finals day, St Catherine’s placed 5th overall in Division 2, with outstanding results across age groups:

  • Juniors – 3rd place
  • Intermediates – 6th place
  • Seniors – 6th place

Thank You

A huge thank you to all staff and coaches who generously gave their mornings and afternoons since Term 1 to train the girls. It has been an absolute pleasure coaching this group — their energy, consistency, and teamwork have been a highlight of the season.

We also saw record numbers attending Run Club, which provided a strong foundation for our cross-country campaign. A special mention to those students who represented the school at Athletics Victoria School Competitions, gaining valuable race experience and showcasing their talent.

Thank you to all families, staff, and supporters — this season was truly a team effort.

Go St Cath’s!
