Barbreck News: Fundraising Day

Leadership and Fun Combine for a Good Cause: Fundraising Day for The Smith Family

Throughout the school year, Years 5 and 6 Barbreck students have been diligently honing their leadership skills as part of our School’s Ambassador Program. We are excited to announce that next Thursday 14 September, they will be putting these skills into action by hosting a special Fundraising Day for The Smith Family.

The Day will be an exciting and enriching experience for our students. Our community also has a chance to support a worthy cause.

Here is a glimpse of what to expect:

Pyjama Day: To kick things off, all Junior School students are encouraged to wear their cosiest pyjamas to School on September 14. There will be a prize for the best/creatively dressed student in each Year level, so get creative with your pyjama attire!

Year 5 Mini Market: Our Year 5 students will showcase their budding entrepreneurial talents with a business expo on the Village Green. Featuring handmade crafts and delicious treats, students will have the opportunity to support their innovative ventures.

Just Dance Session: Students can hit the dance floor and showcase their best moves during the ‘Just Dance’ Session.

Rap Session: For those with a knack for rhymes, there is also the opportunity to put their lyrical skills to the test by writing and performing their very own rap.

Talent Quest: Students can showcase their unique talents and abilities during our Talent Quest.

Our Fundraising Day also features various games suitable for all ages, providing a chance for some friendly competition. If your child enjoys a challenge, they can also test their guessing skills and potentially win sweet prizes in the ‘Guess the Lollies in the Jar’ activity.

Donations: To participate in this fantastic day of fun and giving, we kindly ask that each student contribute a gold coin donation.

Every contribution will go towards supporting The Smith Family’s valuable work in helping disadvantaged children reach their full potential through education.

This event represents not only an opportunity for our students to showcase their leadership skills but also a chance for our students to have fun and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in the St Catherine’s community. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.
