Barbreck Voices – From our Co-Captains

As Junior School Co-Captains, we have thoroughly enjoyed our role so far!

Last term we introduced an award that would go to a few students in each Assembly who had shown determination and persistence throughout the week. We have called it the Determination Award!

We have created the Determination Award to encourage girls to continuously demonstrate our School Values and be respectful and kind to their fellow students and teachers.

Speaking of presenting in Assembly, we have been helping Mr Russell to organise and prepare for them. We are also in charge of the Acknowledgment of Country, and welcoming the presenters, both staff and students. Sometimes we even like to include a cute little video to inspire determination and kindness. We love being involved in the weekly Barbreck Assembly.

We also love helping to run other events at School. Which leads us to talking about the Mother’s Day Breakfast held this morning! We were really looking forward to speaking on this special morning, as we are learning how to give a vote of thanks. It was a great morning!

We also love being role models and friends to all the students at Barbreck. It makes us especially happy when the younger girls feel comfortable approaching us in the yard and saying hello!

We cannot wait to find out what the rest of the year will bring. We look forward to continuing to represent our School with pride and determination!
