English Excellence 

As a School we have all celebrated the remarkable achievements of our Class of 2022. 

As an English Faculty we particularly celebrate the outstanding personal achievements of the following 2022 Year 12 students, who each achieved a perfect Study Score of 50 for VCE English:

Angela Yu 

The girls’ commitment to their English studies was exemplary and we wish them well as they continue their academic journeys in tertiary courses. 

Teaching Excellence  

We also celebrate the exemplary achievements of Miss Kristy Forrest and Mrs Lisa Gionfriddo from our English Faculty who have both been selected to take part in the Teaching Excellence Program (TEP), administered by the Victorian Department of Education. 

The TEP enables exceptional teachers to advance their expertise through access to the latest research, explorations in the science of learning and discipline-based pedagogical content knowledge.  

The TEP offers exposure to contemporary research and teaching strategies. Graduates will become an Academy Fellow and have opportunities to apply for Academy Master Teacher roles and fellowships, to deepen practitioner inquiry research. 

Kristy and Lisa, along with Mr Stephen Brown (Science), Monsieur Andrew Gold (Barbreck French) and Miss Kirrilly Wootton (Barbreck Year 5) have been accepted into the Program.
