Senior Production – Two Weeks with the Queen

The next production to hit the Dorothy Pizzey stage is the 2021 Year 8 and 9 Play, Two Weeks with the Queen.

This play is based on the much loved 1990s children’s novel by Morris Gleitzman. It follows twelve-year-old Colin Mudford, who is sent to live with relatives in England, while his younger brother, Luke, is being treated for cancer in a Sydney Hospital. Colin is desperate to find a cure for Luke’s illness, and tries everything in his power to do so – including an unannounced visit to Buckingham Palace.

This production was originally scheduled for Term 4 2020, but has been held over until Term 1 to allow the students the audience they deserve. The cast have been working on this production alongside Mr Dylan Licastro and Mr James Brown, and are very excited to share this funny, yet highly moving tale of family, grief and love with the wider community.

Performance dates are:

Friday 26 March, 7.00pm

Saturday 27 March, 3.00pm

Book your tickets here: https://www.trybooking.com/BONRN

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Thorne Harbour (previously the Victorian AIDS Council), and additional donations can be given at the performances via a ‘tap and go’ machine in the foyer.

We hope to see you there!

Mr James Brown, Head of Performing Arts
