Head of the Schoolgirls Rowing Regatta – Persistence, Resilience, Determination.

The Head of the Schoolgirls Rowing Regatta (HOSG) held last weekend was a fabulous success for our St Catherine’s Rowers.

With many months of early morning training sessions behind them, and under the guidance and expertise of our Director of Rowing, Miss Brigette Carlile, the rowers yielded some amazing results as well as creating history in the making.

The girls raced across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and with over 1800 competitors entered in the regatta, the results are testament to their persistence, resilience, and determination.

Results are as follows:

  • The Cross Div 3 GOLD
  • The Scotty Div 2 GOLD
  • The Ferg Div 1 GOLD… the first in 33 Years

Congratulations must go to Miss Carlile, our Rowing Captains, Chloe Cooper and Claire Gray, and all of the Senior rowers whose leadership, commitment and role modelling to our younger students has been outstanding all season. The exceptional team work, unity and spirit is visibly present and resulted in a very successful regatta.
