Whilst the year 2020 began with such promise, it’s been a challenging year for our community. We’ve followed the School’s considered and nurturing management taken in working through the ever-changing COVID restrictions to ensure that our current students have been able to navigate their way through the school year so capably. Our admiration and thanks are extended to Mrs Michelle Carroll and all her administrative and teaching staff. They’ve shown great leadership, strength and care to the entire community and deserve our collective thanks.

We take this opportunity to wish the Class of 2020 the very best of luck for their forthcoming examinations – we know they’ll approach their studies with due diligence and be rewarded for their collective efforts.

We enjoyed two Past Parent Year Level events in February before COVID-19 restrictions cancelled the remaining year’s calendar of reunions. We would like to thank our wonderful hosts Lucy and Alan Simpson (2002) and Cathy and Rohan Sutherland (2019) for opening their homes and warmly welcoming fellow past parents for the get togethers.

We trust that COVID-19 restrictions will continue to be eased so we can resume our reunions in 2021. It’s likely that any reunions held will be held in a local wine bar rather than in private homes. The format will continue as casual evenings to enjoy in the company of fellow past parents of your daughter’s year level – a great opportunity to maintain the friendships developed over the schooling years.

We will once again host our All Years Past Parents Cocktails Evening in the New Year to celebrate the School’s 125^th Anniversary.  We are most grateful to Lindy Shelmerdine (’80) and Lady Southey AC (’45) for once again offering to host this event in the surrounds of the stunning Cranlana gardens.  Please save the date of Thursday 11 March for this special event.
