Barbreck Update – Year 6C Commemorating ANZAC Day

For many years ANZAC Day has been an important part of Australian life. It is a day when we have the chance to get together and think about the sacrifices that have been made for our country. This year our ANZAC lessons have looked quite different as we worked from home. The students of Year 6C were able to meet together in small teams and create responses to their investigations of ANZAC day. They created group PowerPoint presentations, poems, a short film and artwork, all whilst working in isolation.

Gallipoli

I wear a red poppy,

To remember the men who fought in Gallipoli.

As the red represents the blood lost that day,

Their families worried and ‘said their pray’.

Lest we forget.
