News from Year 3

Term 3 has been very eventful, and full of exciting activities for our Year 3 girls.
They loved participating in the Barbreck Book Week celebrations and a fabulous Olympics Day making many special memories. We have also enjoyed celebrating many birthdays in class this term with lots of cupcakes!
When asking some of the students what they loved most about these special days, the girls commented:
“A chance to bring our imagination to life.”
“Making memories with our friends.”
“Collaborating with all Year levels.”
“Unleashing our creativity through costume design.”
Aside from these wonderful events, the girls have been very productive in the classroom consolidating their skills and knowledge in Mathematics, English, HASS, and Health. The girls have loved learning about 3D and 2D shapes and creatively putting together some very impressive artwork.
In HASS, we are learning about the three zones of Climate; Tropical, Temperate, and Polar. As a class, we have put together a table in the classroom that the girls need to fill out as they research interesting facts in relation to these three zones. The girls have described their learning in HASS as “fascinating,” “interesting,” “mind-blowing,” and “awesome.”
It has been an absolute pleasure teaching the girls this term and I wish them a very successful rest of the year.
