Barbreck News: Inspiring Role Models in Barbreck

In Barbreck, we are fortunate to have two exceptional Co-Captains who serve as inspiring role models for all students.
Samara Grinsell and Nina Calvert, not only embody our St Catherine’s School Values of Integrity, Curiosity, Perseverance, Gratitude, and Empathy, but also take initiative in everything they do.
Their leadership is evident in the way they confidently lead assemblies, promote inclusivity in the Junior School, and work closely with the Senior School Co-Captains, demonstrating their ability to collaborate effectively across Year levels.
The girls express gratitude by acknowledging the efforts of others, and their empathy is clear in the care and consideration they show to everyone in our School community.
Nina and Samara have worked tremendously hard at guiding our Year 5 students by emulating what qualities and responsibilities our aspiring leaders require in Barbreck. When talking with our Year 5 students, they noted the following about our Barbreck Co-Captains:
“I’ve noticed that they are encouraging to others and make everything positive. The girls present nicely and put their best into everything they do.” Pearl
“They make assemblies fun by doing different things every week. Nina and Samara listen to everyone and their feedback.” Indi
“They’re helpful and encouraging in the playground.” Sophie
“They let everyone be a part of the assemblies.” Kaleigh
