Wellbeing Festival and Music Assembly
As we quickly approach the end of Term 2, we have many exciting events that the students are eagerly anticipating. In the final week of school, we have two special events planned that we are sure students, and the community will enjoy.
Wellbeing Festival
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Barbreck Wellbeing Festival, taking place on Wednesday 19 June. The Wellbeing Festival will be filled with activities centred around promoting student wellbeing. We have a range of engaging activities planned, including sports, construction, mindfulness, dance, and crafts, ensuring every student finds something they enjoy.
To make the day even more special, we encourage all students to come dressed in casual clothes with a touch of pink. Please ensure clothes are suitable for participating in sports activities and that sports shoes are worn.
The day will also provide an opportunity to support an important women’s charity. We kindly request a gold coin donation to contribute to our fundraising efforts for the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
To ensure everyone has enough energy to participate fully, we will be providing food throughout the day. In the morning, between 8.15am and 8.45am, students will be provided with a light breakfast of croissants and fruit. Coffee and tea will also be available for parents who wish to stay.
For lunch, we have organised a delicious sausage sizzle. Each student will be served up to two beef sausages in bread. If your daughter requires a vegetarian option, please contact Barbreck Reception (barbreck@stcatherines.net.au) by Friday 14 June so we can make the necessary arrangements. If sausages are not suitable for your daughter, we kindly ask you to pack a regular lunch for her. Additionally, please remember to pack a snack for recess to keep your child energised throughout the day.
We look forward to seeing all our students engaged and enthusiastic during the Barbreck Wellbeing Festival. It promises to be a day filled with joy, learning, and opportunities for personal growth. We appreciate your support in making this event a success. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Music Assembly
We are excited to hold our Music Assembly in the Senior School Hall on the final day of the term, June 20, starting at 2.00pm.
All students will participate, showcasing their musical talents to our Barbreck community. This Assembly offers students a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have developed throughout the term.
We warmly encourage parents to attend and support their children. The Hall’s larger capacity also allows us to welcome other family members and friends, ensuring plenty of space for everyone.
We look forward to seeing a large turnout to support our students. Your presence will make the event even more special and memorable for our Barbreck girls. The Music Assembly promises to be an afternoon filled with delightful performances and a showcase of our students’ incredible talents.
We hope to see you there!
