Years 3-6 House Gymnastics Competition Results

Well done to all Years 3 to 6 students on their high enthusiasm and outstanding efforts in last week’s House Gymnastics Competition. Our House Captains are also to be commended for their exceptional coordination of the aerobics routines. Listed below are the fantastic results from the day.

Interschool Gymnastics Reminder

Parents are reminded to register your daughter for Interschool Gymnastics before Friday 23 June, if your daughter is interested.

Interschool Sport

Each Wednesday afternoon, our Year 6 students have the opportunity to play interschool sport against other schools in our District. This Term, the sports on offer have been Soccer, Netball, Tee ball and Volleystars. The Barbreck students have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of sports on offer and the chance to test their skills in game situations.

Next term, the sports on offer change with AFL, 4 Wicket Cricket and Handball being the sports available. In Week 1, of Term 3, we hope to have two Hawthorn AFL players visit and host a special training session on the first Wednesday.

Earlier this term the Melbourne Football Club also kindly provided a free clinic for our Barbreck students. AFL is proving to be a very popular sport with our students.

Year 6 Rugby Clinic

On Thursday 15 June, our Year 6 Barbreck students were treated to a Rugby clinic from the Melbourne Rebels. The girls were exposed to the many rugby skills and exciting games that left them exhausted by the end of the session.
