The children in the Early Learning Centre are currently engaged in collaborative projects to prepare their end-of-year ‘Celebration of Learning.’ Over recent weeks, the children have been reflecting on their year, brainstorming ideas, developing storylines, selecting songs, recording videos, and designing props for their celebrations. The children take proud ownership of their celebration as they are actively involved in all aspects of decision-making, planning, and preparation.

This is a great opportunity for children to work together collaboratively with peers in small groups. The children are learning to share ideas, negotiate, problem-solve and take on different roles in their projects. It is wonderful to see the learning and skills they have gained throughout the year on display through this collaborative project work.

The ‘Celebrations of Learning’ are currently in production. After some more fine-tuning and rehearsal, the children will be delighted to share their work with families next week! We know that this promises to be a very special occasion not to be missed.
