International Families Social Picnic

On Sunday 30 July, St Catherine’s PFA International Parent Reps, Juan Xu and Jing Zhang hosted an International Families Picnic at Como House Garden.

The event brought together many of our School’s international families and welcomed new families to St Catherine’s School community.

“We organised the Picnic to bring together international families, with the primary intention of welcoming new families into our community. As we sat together on blankets spread across the lush, green lawn, a sense of relaxation permeated the atmosphere. Families openly shared their unique stories of challenges and triumphs, both in School and their personal journeys. Newcomers were warmly embraced and immediately felt a part of the close-knit community,” shares Juan and Jing.

“We firmly believe that the connections formed during this Picnic will extend far beyond the day, as families continue to reach out and support each other in their daily lives. This experience left us with cherished memories and an enduring spirit of togetherness, motivating us to plan more gatherings in the future to nurture the bonds of friendship.”

The Picnic also provided an opportunity to introduce the many upcoming School and community events taking place across Semester 2 and to encourage new families to enjoy as many events as they can.

Thank you to Juan and Jing for creating such a welcoming atmosphere for our international families.
