Celebration of Music Breakfast
This year’s Music Celebration Breakfast was an opportunity to recognise a year of outstanding commitment and hard work by our Music students, staff, and parent support groups.
An uninterrupted year of onsite learning has seen the Music Department resume its commitment to providing performance opportunities and an engaging rehearsal schedule. This provides our students with opportunities to grow in their music and beyond, through their engagement in both process and the product.
The Music Department cannot function without commitment from each student, every week. Our Celebration Breakfast provided ensemble directors a chance to recognise specific students within the 2022 Music Cohort that make additional contributions, both small and large, that may not be recognised by other more formal award processes already in place at St Catherine’s. These Awards recognised Ensemble Excellence and Ensemble Growth across both Junior and Senior Schools.
Approximately 120 students and family members were present at the event. Thanks, must be given to Mrs Irene Karas, Dr Vanessa Morgan, the parents and friends of the Creative Arts Auxiliary, St. Ali and Croutons for the fantastic breakfast boxes, tea and coffee and table decorations that added to the occasion.
Along with the awards presented during the morning, the attendees were treated to a live performance from Olivia Grasso, Year 7 accompanied by Mr Andrew Wrigglesworth.
