From the Dean of Academics – GAT Facts for Parents

This is an exciting time for our VCE students. Shortly, our Year 12 students will embark on their final months of schooling, with their GAT (General Achievement Test) taking place on 7 September, and Written Exams commencing on 26 October.

Shortly, I will be meeting with all Units 3&4 students to discuss the requirements of the GAT. Within this meeting I will provide an array of information to assist them to feel best prepared, excited, and confident to begin the examination period.

A Parent Fact Sheet is provided here, to provide further information on the GAT for our Year 12 families.

Please take note of the important dates below:

Examination  Dates
GAT  Wednesday 7 September
Trial Exams  Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 September
Language and Performance Examinations  Monday 3 October to Friday 14 October
End of Year written Examinations  Wednesday 26 October to Wednesday 16 November

All Units 3&4 Language and Oral students have received their advice slips. If students have misplaced this, please see Mrs Cassidy and I will be able to provide you with another copy. Advice slips for end-of-year written examinations will be distributed shortly to all Units 3&4 students.

I look forward to assisting our VCE students during this exciting time and wish you all the best of luck.

Mrs Alison Cassidy, Dean of Academics
