SCOGA – Class of 2012 – 10 Year Reunion

The 10 year reunion for the class of 2012 was held on Friday 18 February 2022, commencing with a tour of both the Junior School campus, Barbreck, and the Senior School campus. During the tour the girls remarked on the significant changes that have occurred at St Catherine’s in the time since they left, which include an entirely new Barbreck building and surrounding playgrounds, and extensive renovations to the Senior School.  While the aesthetic of the School may have changed, it was also very clear to the girls that the close-knit environment has not.

Following the tour, the social evening was held on the terrace of Sherren House, where the girls had the opportunity to catch-up with each other, hear from SCOGA about recent and upcoming initiatives, and see teachers from their time at School.

The girls particularly enjoyed catching up with the current Year 12 Dean, Ms Vicky Spanos, who was a big part of their time at School, as both their Year 10 Dean and English Teacher. The girls were also able to read their yearbook, and specifically, reflect on their answer to the question asked of them at the end of 2012 – “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?”  For some, their answers were scarily accurate, while for others, they differed significantly from the path they now find themselves on.

The event was a brilliant opportunity for the girls to reconnect, celebrate each other’s milestones, reflect on the more recent challenges of the COVID pandemic, and remember their formative years at School.
