Co-Curricular Conversations: Years 3 and 4 Drama

Year 3 Stage Skills

An exciting beginning to the dramatic arts has commenced for the students in Year 3 Stage Skills.

With some amazing outcomes already being achieved the students have enjoyed learning how to use their bodies to create space, represent shapes, characters and meaning.

They have also demonstrated excellent teamwork and collaborative thinking, both of which are skills that will benefit their learning during their progression through the Stage Skills program, but also in all areas of their learning.

Going forward, these two skills form the core of the Performing Arts Domain.

It has been a great start to an exciting year, and through the girls’ continued growth and understanding, we will produce a performance, which all Year 3 Stage Skills students will be involved in.

Year 4 Perform

The Year 4 girls’ enthusiasm and love for the Dramatic Arts has been a delight to witness as we commenced our Year 4 Perform Program.

The students have shown great understanding in developing exciting and interesting characters. They are also beginning to understand how to present themselves to an audience, which will continue to be developed throughout the year.

The year-long program is packed with fun and engaging content, with a final focus on producing a polished performance at the end of the year.

All of the students have presented excellent ideas when discussing and performing elements of fractured fairytales, demonstrating creativity and individuality, which will form the basis of our original performance piece.
