  • Encouraging involvement of students and their parents across both the Junior and Senior Schools
  • Building a pipeline of supporters for the future
  • Having fun and success on the mountain!

What are the key events taking place (COVID dependent) in the coming 12 months?

  • Ice skating pre-season social event
  • Snowsports Swap
  • On mountain family events
  • End of season presentation

Why do you think volunteering is so important? How can people contribute?

Our family was welcomed into the Snowsports community when the girls will still in kinder.  Both our children skied for St Catherine’s from Prep. The friendships and encouragement to participate was extraordinary. It is one of the few programs that runs from prep to Year 12.

I don’t ski, or snowboard, but have always been keen to help support the Auxiliary.  Events, particularly the Swap require an army of volunteers.

Have you been involved in other roles at St Catherine’s?

I have been a Class Representative more times than I can count, (in fact I am currently doing the third year in a row in 2022! I always help at events or functions like the School Fair etc.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?

British born, never learnt to ski, moved to Australia 15 years ago. I am a Partner at a leading Global Search firm. I used to specialise in not-for-profit recruitment and have a passion for supporting vulnerable communities and achieving social impact.

I work full time, have two children in Years 8 and 10, who both were Junior School Snowsports Captains.  I am also on the Tennis Club Juniors Committee and a Class Representative for Year 8.

Can you share something our community does not know about you?

People are often surprised that I do not ski, snowboard or do cross country; they assume I can!
