Celebrating Our Year Together
The children in the Blue Gum Room prepared and enjoyed a special lunch in their classroom to celebrate their year together. They have been on a fantastic and enjoyable journey as the children have discovered and learnt about themselves and their peers. Strong bonds and relationships have also formed with both themselves and their educators.
The children reflected on their year and shared something they particularly enjoyed, how they changed or something they may have found challenging at the beginning of the year.
“I have made friends. Also I have learnt how to share by saying ‘after you have a turn, can I have a turn please’.” – Charlie.
“I can put my own socks and shoes on now. I try to do this by myself when I am playing in the sand pit. Sometimes I cannot get all the sand off my feet.” – Patrick.
“My feet have grown. I have new sandals now because my feet have grown.” – Everleigh.
As the year draws to a close, I would like to thank all of the parents for their contribution to and support of the program this year and wish the children of the Blue Gum Room a smooth transition into the next chapter of their learning journey.
