The Year 12s have had a busy and exciting start to the school year. Thank you to all the parents who attended the Leadership Breakfast. It was a wonderful and positive start to the year and I am sure you will all agree that we listened to an engaging speech from Ms Sally Capp, Lord Mayor of Melbourne. The girls thoroughly enjoyed their Year 12 Leadership Conference. There were some very important and relevant take home messages from each of the sessions they attended and we will continue to focus on these throughout the year. The Year 12s finished their first week by making fairy bread for the Senior School. It was such a lovely and inclusive activity and the girls in Years 7 to 11 were very appreciative of the gesture. I have commenced meeting with each student to discuss their version of happiness and success for Year 12 and this is something I will continue to work on with your daughters throughout the year.

Mrs Melissa Braddy, Head of Year 12

The Year 11 students have had a busy start to the year and it has been wonderful to witness their enthusiasm. During our first Year Level meeting, I spoke around two key themes. The first was ensuring that students make a positive start to their VCE journey by reflecting on the previous year and setting short or long-term goals that are realistic, while still providing challenge. The second focused on the relationships the girls will develop with their teachers over the next two years. VCE teachers will be their leading supporters and students were encouraged to maintain constant communication with them in order to establish a strong rapport.
