Thalia Barbayannis (Year 9) and Jane Fenton (Year 9) selected to represent GSV in Water Polo

Congratulations to Year 9 students Thalia Barbayannis  and Jane Fenton who were selected to represent Girls Sport Victoria (GSV) at the annual GSV verse APS Water Polo Challenge. The GSV team did extremely well defeating the APS team 8-2.

Metro South 7-10 Selection Trials and District Championships Meet Report

On Saturday 7 October, the St Catherine’s Aquatic Swim team attended the Metro South 7-10 Selection Trials and District Championships at MSAC.

Following the advice of having a good meal Saturday evening and enjoying a relaxing night in, the team arrived at MSAC organised and rearing to go.

I would like to congratulate Portia Gowrie (Year 4) whose outstanding efforts at this event will now see her progress through to Metro All Junior Semi Finals on Sunday 5 November. Portia will compete against the top 40 swimmers in her age group from all over Victoria.

I am very proud of our team and as coach, it is particularly satisfying to see the St Catherine’s Aquatic racing team growing in size, confidence and ability.

Years 7 – 11 House Swimming Carnival

The Years 7–11 House Swimming Carnival will be held at St Catherine’s in the Marigold Southey Sports & Aquatic Centre on Thursday 26 October. On this occasion, students will be permitted to arrive and depart School in their sports uniform.
