Bike Education

On Wednesday 18 October, our Year 6 students took part in their first of three Bike Education afternoons. The sessions concentrate on bike skills and balance, whereby, in the final week students put their skills to the test, venturing further afield on local bike paths.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon for our first ride and the students thoroughly enjoyed working on their breaking and descending skills.

Taekwondo

Over the next couple of weeks, our Years 3 and 4 students will learn self-defence through Taekwondo. The girls are particularly looking forward to this experience. The benefits of learning self-defence are well known, and we hope this experience helps further develop the girls’ self-confidence and provides them with valuable safety skills and knowledge.

House Athletics and Aerobics

Parents are reminded that the Barbreck House Athletics competition will be held on Thursday 2 November at Kooyong Park from 12.00pm—3.00pm. We hope that you can make it!

Our Years 5 and 6 students are also in serious preparation mode for the House Aerobics competition to be held on Wednesday 8 November. This is a particularly busy day, with the Year 6 Irongirl also taking place.

Good luck, girls!
