From our Head of Junior School
Exciting Curriculum Leadership Changes for 2026
We are delighted to announce an important development in the Junior School for 2026, with the appointment of three new Curriculum Coordinators who will play a pivotal role in strengthening teaching and learning across all year levels.
- Louise Thompson – Curriculum Coordinator for Prep – Year 2
- Taleah Pecchiar – Curriculum Coordinator for Years 3 and 4
- Hannah Ainsworth – Curriculum Coordinator for Years 5 and 6
As highly skilled and passionate practitioners, Ms Thompson, Ms Pecchiar and Ms Ainsworth will bring fresh ideas, expertise, and energy to the Junior School curriculum. Continuing in their roles as classroom teachers, they will support colleagues in refining practice, modelling best practice, and ensuring that every student experiences engaging, consistent and high-quality learning.
This initiative marks an exciting step forward in our ongoing commitment to improving teaching and learning outcomes. By focusing on curriculum leadership and classroom support, the coordinators will help drive evidence-based teaching approaches and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Our Curriculum Coordinators will be well supported by Deputy Head of Junior School, Kate Banks, and Head of Learning Strategies, Lauren Maidment. Together, this strong leadership team will ensure the coordinators have the resources, guidance and professional support needed to make a meaningful impact.
We are confident that Ms Thompson, Ms Pecchiar and Ms Ainsworth will make a significant contribution and looking forward to seeing the value they will add to St Catherine’s Junior School.
