Lunar New Year

On Monday 3 February, the Junior School was filled with energy and excitement as we marked the Lunar New Year with our much-loved annual dragon performance!
Weaving its way through the school, the dragon brought smiles to students and staff alike, with some students offering red envelopes—a symbol of good luck and prosperity for the year ahead. It was a wonderful moment of tradition and celebration, reminding us of the importance of embracing and appreciating the diverse cultural heritage within our community.
This year’s festivities were made even more special as we used the event to further welcome our new Principal, Ms Natalie Charles, and new Head of Junior School, Dr Brendan Kean, who joined students, teachers, parents, and staff in the celebrations.
It was a day to remember, as our students had the opportunity to take part in an event rich in history and meaning. We wish our entire St Catherine’s community a prosperous and joyful Year of the Snake!
