Thank you to the many families who came along to our recent ELC Information Evening. This was a great opportunity to share more about our curriculum and philosophy in Campbell House and provide you with an insight into the programs your children will be participating in this year.  

The ELC curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). This Framework, along with the Reggio Emilia education approach, sets our learners on a journey of strong, positive development in all the key areas essential for learning and personal growth. 

The five key learning outcomes are: 

1. Children have a strong sense of identity
2. Children are connected and contribute to their community
3. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
4. Children are confident and involved learners
5. Children are effective communicators 

Working in partnership with families, educators use the learning outcomes to guide their planning for children’s learning during their time in the Early Learning Centre. Educators design specific learning experiences which provide the children with the opportunity to develop new understandings and skills in each of the five domains. This ensures that we take a holistic approach to teaching and learning and the children’s social, emotional, intellectual, physical, language and wellbeing needs are being supported and developed.

Our educators are committed to guiding and supporting the children’s learning and development and look forward to observing the children’s progress as the year continues.
