Every Wednesday a group of students meet me on the Red Steps in Barbreck for Barbreck Club, which includes afternoon tea followed by art, crafting and sport.

Two girls are assigned each week to distribute tasty treats prepared by the Mary Davis Café whilst chatting to our Barbreck Club friends about what we have done throughout our school day.

The girls really enjoy mixing between the Year levels and connecting with like-minded students.

Free outside play usually happens between 3.40pm and 4.00pm (depending on the weather). Access to School equipment and devising their own games is the order of the day.

From 4.00pm to 5.00pm we head to the Art Room to continue with our art projects. These vary from sewing to painting and ceramics. Completed artwork is taken home at 5.00 pm to be enthusiastically shared with family members.

Some of our students share what they like about Barbreck Club:

Alleria: “I love the playtime at Barbreck Club.”

Elva: “I loved making Art, especially the clay angels.”

Angela: “I really like doing Art with the other Barbreck Clubbers.
