Kindness Queens in Year 8

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
Leo Buscaglia

Our Year 8 Cohort have collaborated to create a group whose primary focus is to encourage kindness, known as ‘Kindness Queens’.

Our Year 8 Kindness Queens act as the eyes, ears and voice for students who may have difficulty speaking up in trying times.

These chosen students each hold a particular focus within the group, with a focus on St Catherine’s character dispositions;

  • Kindness
  • Independence
  • Boldness
  • Resilience
  • Creativity

To celebrate, National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence, held today, Friday 18 March, the Kindness Queens put together an array of lunchtime activities to promote kindness and most of all, raise awareness for a cause we have all been touched by, whether it be big or small.

Keep a look out for further activities in upcoming Assemblies.
