Pictures At An Exhibition – an afternoon of Creative Arts, featuring artwork by all of our Barbreck students, and a selection of Music Ensembles, took place yesterday.

From 2.00pm students watched the event via a mystcatherines portal link from their classrooms. Many parents and families were able to join us online at this time, while others chose to view the event with their daughter later in the day. As part of this event the Year 6 leaders organised a gold coin collection for Starlight Children’s Foundation, visiting classrooms to collect donations.

The title, Pictures at an Exhibition, refers to music written by the Russian composer, Mussorgsky, who wrote this piece of music in honour of his artist friend Hartmann. The music describes Mussorgsky walking around the art gallery looking at the paintings by his friend Hartmann.
