Year 5 – Coming to the end of 2020

Coming to the end of 2020, we reflect on what has been a great year with experiences and memories. In Year 5, we have had many projects that everyone enjoyed. Finding out about the Victorian Gold Rush, exploring countries in Europe and North America, learning about democracy, building mini towns for economics and creating our own businesses for the Business Expo were some of the highlights from this year.

With online learning we did extra fun activities including dancing, baking, mindfulness and games, like Kahoot. Everyone enjoyed our journey of online learning.

Below are some of the thoughts from girls in Year 5

“My favourite project was Aunt Molly because it was fun to research a country and make a project about it”. – Polly Moir

“I liked mini businesses because we got to make jewellery and make a business”. – Grace Mitsikas

“My favourite was the mini economy because we got to do something different and it was fun to make a town”. – Chloe Handbury

“The mini business was the best because we got to work with both classes and it felt like we were actually making a real business.” – Leah Kaplan
