Victorian Interschools Cross Country Championship
Congratulations to all the Barbreck students who participated in the Victorian Interschools Cross Country Championship.
Our Division 4 girls were victorious in both the Classic and Relay races, with Catherine Ross (Year 6) taking out 1st place just ahead of Lucy McAllister (Year 6) in 2nd place with Chamonix Stafford (Year 6) finishing in 9th place to secure the team win. The very same team took out the Skate relay to maximise points ahead of the Alpine events on Monday 19 August.
Our Division 5 Team also earned valuable points for St Catherine’s, with the A Team (Camilla Aberdeen (Year 3), Adelaide Lempriere (Year 4) and Amelie Favaloro (Year 3) finishing in 4th place in both events.
Our Division 5 B Team of Piper-Lynn Pascoe (Year 4), Annika Gill (Year 3) and Avalon Pascoe (Year 1) displayed great improvement on their Cross Country skis and will represent St Catherine’s well in the future.
St Catherine’s can look forward to Nationals with confidence in September.
