I invite you to read the second edition of VCE Insights for Term 2, 2019. The purpose of this newsletter is to inform parents and carers of VCE students of upcoming academic and pastoral events. In addition, you will find information to assist with supporting your daughter through her final years of school.
Term 2 Weeks 3 and 4 Events
- Tuesday 7 May: Senior School House Cross Country, 12.30pm
- Saturday 11 May: Year 11 Formal, 7.00pm
- Thursday 16, Friday 17 and Saturday 18 May: Senior School Play, The Crucible
Below is a list of subjects with SACs and Outcomes scheduled over the coming weeks. Please note that subject teachers will communicate with your daughter regarding the specific date their SAC or Outcome will run.

In week 3, the Year 11s will attend a session with Sacha Kaluri about positive relationships and resilience. Sacha is a leading expert in adolescence and the issues that young people face in today’s society. Covering a range of topics, Sacha will share tips, strategies and information on the following key areas:
- Self-esteem
- Relationships
- Team work.
Ms Lilly Dusting, Head of Year 11
A guest speaker recently presented to the Year 12 cohort on VCE success strategies and self-efficacy. It was an excellent presentation and the girls were given many valuable tools to help them navigate their way through the remainder of the year. The key areas of discussion were:
- Time Management
- How to be their B.E.S.T
- Self-belief
- Study Skills.
