Excitement builds amongst our Barbreck students and teachers as we anticipate the opening of our new Junior School in the forthcoming weeks.
The School invites our community to participate in a unique art installation located in the new Junior School Library and Resource Centre, titled: ‘Bookmark her Future’.
Books capture the imagination of all children and the shared joy of reading for parents and children is a favourite pastime for families. ‘Bookmark her Future’ provides an opportunity to select a much treasured family book to be framed and displayed in the Library. You could choose a classic such as Alice in Wonderland, one of Dr Seuss’s tongue-twisting books, The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson or a novel that is meaningful to your family’s cultural background and language spoken at home. The list of favourite children’s books is endless.
The invitation to participate in this unique art installation is open to families gifting to the new Junior School $10,000 or more. Your selected book will be framed with a small plaque recognising your family’s valued contribution.
