Congratulations to Year 6 Music Co-Captain Alexandra (Alexi) Kusumah who recently achieved Third Prize in the American Protege Concerto International Competition, held at Carnegie Hall in New York.  

Along with this remarkable achievement, Alexandra also rehearsed and learned new skills in music performance with a staff pianist from Julliard and Manhattan School of Music, Dr. Kyoung Ing Kim.  

During her time in New York, Alexandra was also invited to join USA Gymnastics training at Gotham Gymnastics in New York, where she joined similar elite level gymnasts training towards Junior/Future International level.  

This jam-packed week provided Alexandra with lots of inspiration to continue working hard towards her goals in both gymnastics and music.

Alexandra says she always remembers Mr Marshall’s inspiring speech at the start of the school year where he said “if someone tells you that you can’t do it, prove them wrong!”
