On Tuesday 15 October, nine talented girls from St Catherine’s proudly represented our School at the SSV Beachside Division Athletics Carnival. Despite the warm weather, the day was filled with excitement and strong competition, as schools from across the Division came together.  

Our athletes gave outstanding performances across a variety of events:  

• Ingrid Tan competed in the 9/10-Year-Old 1500m and 800m 
• Ivy Zu took part in the 12/13-Year-Old 100m and Triple Jump 
• Missoni (Missy) Byrne showcased her speed in the 11-Year-Old 200m 
• Imogen Brownjohn participated in both the 12/13-Year-Old Long Jump and Triple Jump 

Our relay teams also put in strong efforts: 

• The 9/10-Year-Old Relay Team consisted of Jemima Grinsell, Ingrid Tan, Ping Hui Li, and Sienna Xu. 
• The 12/13-Year-Old Relay Team featured Ivy Zu, Allegra Gavilan-Bongiorno, Sienna Yu, and Imogen Brownjohn. 

While our relay teams faced tough competition and have not progressed to the next level, the day was filled with valuable learning opportunities. 

Congratulations to all the girls for their determination, teamwork, and for representing St Catherine’s with pride. It was a fantastic day filled with growth and achievements!  

Congratulations to Imogen Brownjohn who finished first in both her events and will proceed through to the SSV Regional Athletics Championships!
