Barbreck News: Years 3 and 4 Camp at Gundiwindi Lodge

Our Years 3 and 4 students recently embarked on an exciting adventure to Gundiwindi Lodge Camp, where they had the opportunity to engage in a range of diverse and thrilling activities.
The Camp was a fantastic blend of fun, challenge, and learning, offering students the chance to step outside their comfort zones and develop important life skills.
From the adrenaline-pumping giant swing and flying fox to the precision and focus required for archery, every activity was met with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
The girls also enjoyed hands-on experiences such as damper making, where they learned to cook traditional Australian bread over an open fire. Bush dancing brought everyone together for some lively music and fun movements.
Team-building activities were central to the camp experience, providing valuable opportunities for the girls to collaborate, solve problems, and support one another. Through every challenge, the students embraced resilience and demonstrated remarkable teamwork, cheering each other on and working together to succeed.
The camp adventure ended with an interactive and engaging day at Healesville Sanctuary, where students got to engage with a variety of animals native to the Australian bush habitat.
When asking some of the students what their highlights were they noted:
“The giant swing was my favourite activity. We got to swing really high in the air and it was lots of fun.” Henrietta
“The flying fox and night walk were my highlights because it was fun to zoom across the field and we got to use our head torches.” Aaliya
“I loved doing all the activities with my friends and the food was delicious.” Avery
