National Champion – Imogen Randell

Congratulations to Year 10 Boarding student, Imogen Randell who took out two titles at the National Cutting Horse Association’s National Finals in Scone, New South Wales. 

Competing in two categories, Imogen emerged victorious in both, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication. Imogen’s journey and competitions this year have been filled with triumphs, and her achievements are truly commendable. 

In the Rookie Class, which features professional and non-professional riders, Imogen not only participated but emerged as the winner. Additionally, Imogen also competed in the Reserve Champion for Senior Youth of Australia Competition and secured another victory.  

Imogen’s outstanding score was the highest amongst all participants in the six-day show, with over 400 horses and their riders participating. 

Imogen’s success is not solely her own – her mare also played a crucial role by winning the prestigious title of High Point Mare of Australia this year. Moreover, Imogen’s exceptional performance at the Nationals Finals earned her a qualification for the American National High School Rodeo, scheduled to take place in Wyoming, USA in July. Of note is the fact only four females were eligible to qualify for this esteemed event.
