St Catherine’s has a strong and proud Snowsports program and after a year off we can’t wait to be back on the slopes!

Registrations for St Catherine’s House Weekend are NOW OPEN.

The House Snowsports competition is a St Catherine’s community event designed to introduce students to the competitive side of Snowsports. St Catherine’s House Weekend is on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 July. Junior School students are allowed to train on the mountain on Friday 16 July. Students do not necessarily need to be an expert to participate in this event, however as a duty of care we strongly encourage students to have prior experience through the Mt Buller Ski School, Mt Buller Race Club or an equivalent to participate in this event. All students who are wishing to participate in the Victorian Interschools must attend the House Weekend as the results from this event form the teams for the Victorian Interschools Competition.

St Catherine’s offer various opportunities for students to train and develop their skills over the House Snowsports weekend: Cross Country, Snowboard and Alpine Race Training. Unfortunately, this year Mt Buller Ski and Snowboard school are not able to fulfil our request for race lessons. As an alternative to our St Catherine’s Snowsports Community, Mt Buller are providing our students with an opportunity for ‘Alpine Race Training Location’. The Alpine Race Training location will allow students to have access to a race training course and practice, prior to the school trials. There are a limited number of places available in the training programs offered so please get in early if you would like your daughter to participate.

The St Catherine’s Snowsports program uses the smart-device application ‘Team App’ for all communication. Team App is available for free download to all smart-devices. We highly recommend downloading this application, as we use this for all on-mountain communication to families. Instructions on how to set-up Team App can be found in the 2021 St Catherine’s Snowsports Handbook or the Snowsports portal page.
