District Athletics was held on Monday 7 August at a windswept Lakeside stadium. With the St Catherine’s team devastated by injury and illness following a busy week of Year 6 Canberra camp and a demanding Cross Country ski weekend, coming 6th place overall was a courageous result from some very tired athletes.

Congratulations to the following students:

  • Emma Peele (Year 3), Imogen Begley (Year 3), Harriet Koco (Year 3) and Paloma Gattino (Year 3) for winning the 9 Years relay.
  • Chelsea Harris (Year 5) who had a successful day with solid performances in High Jump (2nd), the 200m Sprint (2nd), and 100m Sprint (2nd).
  • Sienna Darcy (Year 6) who placed 3rd in the 200m sprint and 3rd in the 800m Sprint.
  • Millie Nilsen (Year 5) who placed 3rd in Triple Jump.
  • Olivia Howitt (Year 6) who placed 1st in Shot Put.
  • Milla Naylor (Year 6) who placed 3rd in Discuss.
