Maddie commenced at St Catherine’s School in Year 6. An all-round sportswoman, she excelled in Snowsports, achieving regular podium finishes at Interschools and National competitions. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for Cross-Country skiing.

In her late teens, Maddie joined the high-performance program at Stratton Mountain School in Vermont, USA, a renowned winter-sport boarding school, while continuing to compete back in Australia each winter.

In 2022, Maddie won the Australian Junior National Championship. She went on to represent Australia at the 2023 World Junior Championships in Whistler, Canada, the 2024 World Junior Championships in Planica, Slovenia, and the 2026 World U23 Championships in Lillehammer, Norway.

Following her senior studies, Maddie commenced a Liberal Arts degree at Colby College in Maine. Competing for Colby’s Division I ski team, she races regularly across North America in one of the world’s strongest collegiate systems. In 2025, she claimed two U.S. Cross-Country Skiing National Junior Sprint titles, further cementing her standing within the junior US field.

The 2025–26 Northern Hemisphere season marked another major milestone, with Maddie earning selection to compete on the FIS Cross-Country World Cup circuit. She made her World Cup debut in Ruka, Finland, in November 2025 and went on to compete in Trondheim, Norway, as well as Davos and Goms, Switzerland, before being named to the Australian team for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

Outside of skiing, Maddie enjoys reading, cooking, solving puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.
