Barbreck Ambassador Program

Year 5 students have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Year 6 students during the Barbreck Ambassador Program.

The Ambassador Program is offered to Years 5 and 6 students throughout their final two years in Barbreck. The Program develops leadership and teamwork skills in our students. The Program provides authentic learning experiences and project opportunities for students to collaborate, reflect, refine, and improve on.

Our students have been working in House groups to design and create activities that are suitable for Prep to Year 4 students for an event later this term.

Reflections on the Ambassador Program are provided below from some of our Year 5 students:

“I really enjoy the Ambassador Program because we get to team up with the Year 6s. We all get a chance to share our ideas so that no one is left out.” Chloe W

“Being a part of the Years 5 and 6, 2023 Ambassador Program has been a privilege. Davis has been a supportive and collaborative team.” Isabelle R

“In the Ambassador Program, I really like working with the Year 6s. We have been talking about the A.S.P.I.R.E acronym (Action, Serve, Perseverance, Influence, Respect and Encourage) and thinking of super fun and age-appropriate activities for an Easter event.” Sophie W

“In Ambassador, we worked in House teams to think of ideas for an Easter event. We worked collaboratively and chose the three best ideas to engage the younger Year levels.” Sienna Y
