​Students receive a holistic coaching approach at St Catherine’s that develops their athletic ability, high performance and teamwork skills.

The St Catherine’s Rowing Club has enjoyed an illustrious history, starting in 1987, the program has quickly become one of the largest and most successful in the country.

Based at the Mercantile Rowing Club on the Yarra River, St Catherine’s rowers compete at various club regattas leading into the annual Head of the Schoolgirls Regatta, in which the School has enjoyed much success.

St Catherine’s School boasts one of the most experienced group of coaches on the river bank along with state of the art equipment. St Catherine’s students receive a holistic coaching approach, preparing students for high performance, to take pride in their best efforts and to work together with high degrees of professionalism.

After completing School, students are provided with the opportunity to develop their coaching skills as part of the St Catherine’s Rowing Club coach development program and also pursuing rowing endeavours at universities such as the University of California and Princeton University in the US.
