Music Notes
As we approach the close of 2025, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the year. Music has once again been a central part of life at St Catherine’s, enriching every term with creativity and performance. Highlights include our inaugural Chamber Ensemble Concert at Toorak Uniting Church, pianists showcasing their talent at the Senior School Art Show, Junior School musicians performing at their own Art Show, and the Year 5 Band Program representing us at the Victorian Schools’ Music Festival. Our singers brought heartfelt music to the Remembrance Day Service at St John’s Anglican Church, and most recently, Junior School ensembles shone at their annual concert.
Congratulations to all students who undertook AMEB examinations this year, over 40 in total. For some, it was their first experience; for others, another step in a long journey. Each demonstrated dedication and resilience, earning the pride that comes from striving for excellence.
The year isn’t over yet! We’re looking forward to the Christmas Fair and, for our Senior School students, the much-anticipated House Arts event, always a true highlight of the School calendar. We also look forward to finishing the year in a festive spirit at both the Junior and Senior School Christmas Services, held at Toorak Uniting Church.
I hope to see you at these celebrations as we conclude another remarkable year of music at St Catherine’s.
